The modern @ The underground stoke, February 2006
As part of the Club nme night which occasionally has live bands. The atmosphere is a little unusual in The underground, despite the barrage of posters & flyers most people seem oblivious to there being a band on tonight.
The night started at 9pm but support isn't on till at least 11pm, support came from a folky indie band who's name I can't really recall unfortunately. Eventually The modern make it on stage to a 'foggy' atmosphere (thats the smoke machine kiddos) opening with the synthpop delight that is "Jane falls down", the audience seem a little hesitant to dance or even stand near the stage, but eventually the audience 'warm up' to "discotheque francais".

Ending on the fabulous "tokyo girls", it was worth freezing in the corner of the underground for 2 hours in the end!
